Joseph Ackerman was born in St. Louis, Missouri on November 15th 1981. After success in grade school he was accepted to the top private school in the St. Louis area, John Burroughs High School. There he found a passion for science, no real surprise since both his parents have Ph.Ds in chemistry. It was also here that he meet Nathan Brown and Geoff Pilkington who encouraged his writing creativity through filmmaking. Between school and football Joe managed to appear in two of Nathan and Geoff's movies. Before leaving for college the three friends came together and created their own production company, Rouse.

Once in college at the University of Illinois, Joseph began the intense trial that would eventually culminate in a degree in physics. Thankfully Nathan, also at the university, encouraged Joe to continue developing his creative talents writing scripts and commercials. This activity became a real stress reliever for Joseph. Joseph has had his commercial and movies produced by St. Louis based Rouse Productions. He has also began work on a yet to be titled novel.

In May of 2004 Joseph will graduate with a physics degree and has high hopes to working in the advertising industry as part of a creative development team.
